On July 22, 2024, a training session was held at the Health and Professional Training Center (CEFOSAP) in Limbé, focused on preventing mental health problems. The event brought together participants aged 20 to 30 years, an age group particularly vulnerable due to political instability, economic precarity, widespread insecurity, and marked emotional vulnerability. These difficult socio-economic conditions underscore the importance of raising awareness about mental health in this population.

Over one hour and forty-five minutes, participants were introduced to several essential concepts. The training covered the definition of health and mental health, Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs, psychosomatic and somatopsychic relationships, as well as the distinction between mental health problems and mental disorders. The primary goal was to provide tools for preventing these problems.

This initiative was made possible through the support of the institution's staff, under the approval of the Dean, Rhodesty Philogène. At the end of the training, Ms. Philogène expressed her gratitude to the Emergency Clinic ACCES-Santé for their crucial work in the community and encouraged students to pay attention to their mental health.
The training also emphasized the importance of mental health awareness, an aspect often neglected in our society. By educating young people on these topics, the training aims to promote better understanding and encourage preventive behaviors regarding mental health disorders.

In conclusion, this activity strengthens the ACCES-Santé Clinic's mission in the region by promoting health and strengthening ties with local institutions such as CEFOSAP. The clinic's visibility is enhanced, and the collaborative relationship between the two entities is reinforced, promising fruitful future collaborations.
